Understanding The System

When it comes to external intruder protection, we have made advances beyond belief in detection accuracy, which will quite simply revolutionise expectations of false alarms.

The Blue-Fox security system consists of 3 core blocks that combine to form the most advanced security system available for your business or home. Most importantly, this technology is available at an affordable price.

Waltham Electronics Blue-Fox consists of 3 core blocks

1. Detection: (see fig 1 & 2).

A minimum of two smart detectors will be installed, which will continually work together to detect heat and movement within the protected zone. Our intelligent technology employs both passive infrared and Doppler microwave to recognise and disregard common environmental factors such as birds, animals below 70cm, tree and branch sway and severe weather conditions.

2. Processing:

Even with superior detection, we still go one step further than other alarm systems. Our rapid programmable CPU (central processing unit) monitors the response of both multi scan detection units and can instantly identify bogus signals that enter the protected zone, avoiding a false alarm situation. It takes both detectors with a combined 8 sensors (2 microwave and 2 PIR's in each detector) to all confirm positive before an alarm situation is signalled.

How it Works
[Fig. 1: Diagram showing the combined protected zone achieved by two detectors and 8 sensors]
How it Works - Fig 2
Because Blue-Fox has double Doppler microwave detection systems operating at different frequencies, they can also be mounted back to back - especially beneficial in barrier applications.

By combining the efforts of the 2 multi-scan detectors via our programmable CPU we can ensure that a detection of no interest on detector 1 - e.g. a bird close to detector, which would ordinarily trigger alarm situation with other systems, would not with Blue-Fox. The CPU would know that detector 2 had not been triggered - therefore eliminating a false alarm situation.

It is through the combined effect of 8 scanning ports and the Blue-Fox CPU that we can eradicate false alarms.

3. Output:

Once an intrusion has been detected by both detectors on all 8 channels, the Blue Fox CPU will output an alarm situation that can be individualised for the customer's exact needs. These can include sounding an alarm siren, sound a pre-recorded message, switch on CCTV or any electrical device, send text messages to several per programmed numbers or contact a monitoring station that has specific instructions in the event of an alarm situation.
